Scripture and Hymn Challenge for 2013

Hi everyone!  At the end of December in 2012, I announced that I will be participating in Patter Cross’ Hymn and Scripture Challenge for 2013…and it’s here (every other Sunday)!  Patter posted the first challenge yesterday….a very old hymn, Lift High the Cross…and she offered several Bible verses that focus on the theme of the Hymn…Patter always posts a wonderful devotional, an image and history of the hymn, and the related verses….plus her own creation….

I will be making 6×6 pages for an album I bought from We R Memory Makers…when I’m done….a very memorable book of old hymns and verses will be on my coffee table!  Oh.. and each entry will be in a plastic sleeve for protection from fingerprints, spills, etc.  I used a monochromatic color theme (Crumb Cake) for this particular page…the hymn was downloaded from Patter’s site and the verse was computer-generated.  And I added some of my fave embellishments….lace, buttons, pearls, and flourishes…
