Seize the Birthday (for this 2 week period) is an Anything Goes challenge….Try a New Technique is a return to TLC 133, but with a twist…the original was to color with Gamsol, but this time…can color with any type of marker, also!….and on Queen for the Day….one of the stampers being honored from the past (part of the summer challenges)…is Dawn Easton, so this card is inspired by Dawn’s card. I really admire her clean and simple cards!
On the challenge, Queen For the Day, you can CASE the Queen’s card(s), and that was my plan until I realized I used an image that is facing the opposite of Dawn’s! She used machine-sewing stitching on her card….which she often does, but I paper-pierced instead….and my little arrows focusing on the birthday mouse are different, but I think you can see the similarities!
I used Copics for the Technique challenge, although I was inspired to buy some Prisma pencils and Gamsol! Let’s see if I can perfect that technique! Here are the Copics I used….
This card fit right into Seize the Birthday because there were no requirements other than being a Birthday card! I work in the Nursery at my church and this card will be for someone turning two years old soon!
The stamp is a Pure Innocence stamp (MFT)…word bubble from Taylored Expressions…Main colors: Raspberry Ripple and Bermuda Bay..
Don’t you love the SU! DSP…Birthday Basics… ? I need lots of this paper…it’s so cute! Also a little sparkly Stickles on the center of the head-flower…forgot to add yellow Stickles to the flame, but I will before I give this to a sweet little girl! Also that icing is just begging for a Stickles overlay, isn’t it?
